How to Pan Sear Shrimp

Step by Step for Pan Seared Shrimp

Follow along for the full step-by-step recipe below for quick, delicious Shrimp at home. 

Ingredients for Shell on Shrimp

Up to 6 16-20 count Shrimp, shell on 
2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Kosher Salt and Pepper as needed

  1. Using the Cue app, set your Cue smart induction burner to 400° F (204° C) or If using a standard cooktop, set your stove to medium-high.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to your pan.
  3. While your pan is heating up, refer to the Hestan Cue Guide to Scallops and Shrimp for additional tips and tricks. 
  4. Using a paper towel dry your Shrimps thoroughly, then season as needed with kosher salt and black pepper.
  5. Once your pan is preheated, cook your Shrimp on the first side for 1 mins 45 seconds. 
  6. Flip your Shrimp and continue to cook 1 mins 45.
  7. When your Shrimp are finished remove from the pan. You can continue to cook additional Shrimp in batches. 

 

Ingredients for Peeled Shrimp

Up to 6 16-20 count Shrimp, peeled
2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Kosher Salt and Pepper as needed

  1. Using the Cue app, set your Cue smart induction burner to 425° F (218° C) or If using a standard cooktop, set your stove to medium-high.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to your pan.
  3. While your pan is heating up, refer to the Hestan Cue Guide to Scallops for additional tips and tricks. 
  4. Using a paper towel dry your Shrimp thoroughly, then season as needed with kosher salt and black pepper.
  5. Once your pan is preheated, cook your Shrimp on the first side for 1 mins 15 seconds. 
  6. Flip your Shrimp and continue to cook 1 mins 15. 
  7. When your Shrimp are finished remove from the pan. You can continue to cook additional Shrimp in batches.
